after the Meeting with Sarah

The meeting went well although i was abit disapointed witht he feedback of the logos i had done but i guess it is to be expected anyway. I feel i could of sold the idea abit more but i wasnt able to bring it across like i had it in my head this is somthing that i need to work on, i took the feedback and feedback off my team members away with me and started tweaking them before the meeting with John thta week.

What is your confidence level with IT Equipment in the Garden Centre?
• Very Little Technology
• Varies from store to store
• Some are inherited
• Future Proofing

Do you expect the new system to follow the same reporting chain of command as the previous system? I.e. Sales assistant > Senior salesperson > Miss Greengold.
• Could be better ways to go around this
• Not all staff are equally in command, maybe a system can help this
• Checks will need to be put in
• Watered down version can be sent to each member of the hierarchy
• Trust staff’s responsibilities

What Specific tasks are each sales assistant in charge of? I.e Raising stock orders
• Need to be more flexible
• Productively use people
- Peak Times
- Short Staffed
• Allow crossing over at a certain level between departments in Garden Centre

CMS
• What are we suggesting it would benefit
• Would there need to be an administrating role, that they don’t already have
- Someone who could be trained
- Who will be doing this training?

Name and Logo
• Research into existing name to see if it can be used
• Make sure the name is accessible to everyone
- Orchid sounds a little upper class
- Orchard more approachable
• Further development to logos
- Change tree to point out the different seasons
- Winter = Evergreen tree
• Logo design
- Can it be used on Uniforms, Point of Sale, Price tags etc.
